We use the Lightning Design system for IBM Salescloud (Salesforce)

We also use Tableau for the Data Analytics Dashboards.

Material Design (Cupcake) for Ipreo’s Design System

DESIGN SYSTEMS

Situation

For IBM Sales Cloud (Salesforce), the architects requested that we update the existing two-page design guide into a more comprehensive guide.

Task

I oversaw the creation and refinement of the Style Guide, managing its writing, editing, and overall consistency.

Action

We reviewed every page of the Salesforce app to identify the core templates, then developed guidelines for section pages, variations, UI elements, interactions, and design patterns & best practices.

Result

We successfully created a guide that ensures a unified and consistent user experience, making sure everyone involved in the design and development process is aligned. New designs need to reference this guide to satisfy all necessary criteria.

Situation

Ipreo needed its first-generation Design System to bring consistency across its suite of products.

Task

I iterated on and evolved the Design System, originally based on Material Design, by refining existing components and adding new ones as product needs emerged.

Action

I added to a robust system in Sketch that enabled our team to rapidly create wireframes using reusable, standardized components—ensuring visual and functional consistency across multiple products.

Result

The Design System proved to be a powerful tool for scalability. When Ipreo was acquired by IHS Markit, we were able to rebrand entire applications in just a few hours by applying a new “skin” to the system—something that would have taken months without it.
